Against the Spread: Jamall Brown’s ETFL Week 3 Predictions

Week 3 of the ETFL Season arrives with plenty of storylines, fresh legs, tired bodies, and spreads that have the betting community buzzing. This week’s guest picker, Jamall Brown, isn’t afraid to fade the favorites when the numbers don’t add up.

With several quarterbacks and key contributors coming off a grueling tournament weekend while others enjoyed the luxury of a bye, Brown believes circumstance may be just as important as talent when Sunday’s games kick off.

Here’s how he sees the Week 3 slate unfolding.

Pacas Favored to Stay Unbeaten Against Battle-Tested Clarke

9:00 AM – Clarke vs. Pacas
Spread: Pacas -4.5
Moneyline: Pacas -195 | Clarke +165
Total: 49.5

Brown’s Pick: Pacas -4.5
Predicted Score: Pacas 34, Clarke 24

Team Clarke enters Week 3 carrying the wear and tear of a lengthy tournament weekend, while Team Pacas comes in refreshed after a bye week. For Brown, that’s the deciding factor.

“Pacas has the advantage of rest, and that’s huge this early in the season,” Brown explained. “They’ve got a rested quarterback, fresh weapons, and they’ll be able to attack from the opening drive.”

While Brown expects Clarke’s competitive nature to keep them fighting until the final whistle, he believes the gap in energy levels will show throughout the game.

“Clarke will make a push late and probably find the end zone to make things interesting, but Pacas should control most of this one.”

With a projected 58 combined points, Brown is also leaning toward a game that sails past the posted total.

Heaney Pulls Off the Upset in Sunday’s Marquee Matchup

10:30 AM – Scoop vs. Heaney
Spread: Scoop -4.5
Moneyline: Scoop -190 | Heaney +160
Total: 46.5

Brown’s Pick: Heaney +4.5
Predicted Score: Heaney 27, Scoop 23

The morning’s second contest may be the game of the week.

Brown sees a matchup featuring two of the league’s premier dual-threat quarterbacks, making every possession critical. With both signal-callers coming off tournament weekends, he believes supporting casts will ultimately determine the outcome.

“You can make an argument that these are two of the most dangerous quarterbacks in the ETFL when they’re outside the pocket,” said Brown. “The difference is going to come from the playmakers around them.”

Expect momentum swings, explosive plays, and a dramatic finish.

“This feels like the kind of game that comes down to one final drive. I think Heaney has the ball last and finds a way to finish the job.”

Taking the points and the outright upset, Brown is backing Team Heaney to hand Scoop their first loss of the season.

Doubleheader Spot Creates Value on Jeff

12:00 PM – Scoop vs. Jeff
Spread: Scoop -7.5
Moneyline: Scoop -300 | Jeff +240
Total: 48.5

Brown’s Pick: Jeff +7.5
Predicted Score: Scoop 28, Jeff 21

The biggest spread of the morning belongs to Scoop’s second game of the day, but Brown thinks oddsmakers may have pushed the number a little too far.

The reason? Fatigue.

“The only thing harder than playing after a tournament weekend is playing a doubleheader after a tournament weekend,” Brown said.

While he still expects Scoop to emerge victorious, Brown believes the circumstances create an opportunity for Jeff to keep things much closer than expected.

“Seven and a half points is a lot in this league. Jeff competes hard, and if Scoop comes out even slightly flat after their first game, this becomes a one-possession battle.”

Brown isn’t predicting the upset, but he is confidently taking the points.

“This spread is just too wide not to hammer the underdog.”

Glavic’s Firepower Too Much for Toi

1:30 PM – Glavic vs. Toi
Spread: Glavic -8.5
Moneyline: Glavic -375 | Toi +290
Total: 49.5

Brown’s Pick: Glavic -8.5
Predicted Score: Glavic 32, Toi 22

The final game of the day features two teams returning from bye weeks, but Brown sees a clear separation between the rosters.

While both quarterbacks should be fresh and ready to air it out, Brown believes Team Glavic possesses too many offensive weapons for Toi to match score for score.

“Having both quarterbacks rested should make this a fun game early,” Brown said. “But eventually talent and firepower win out.”

Glavic’s explosive offense has shown the ability to put points on the board in bunches, and Brown expects that trend to continue.

“I’m just not convinced Team Toi can keep pace with everything Markos and that offense can do.”

Brown projects a comfortable 10-point victory and sees Glavic covering the largest spread of the afternoon.

Brown’s Week 3 Betting Card

✅ Pacas -4.5
✅ Heaney +4.5
✅ Jeff +7.5
✅ Glavic -8.5

If Brown’s predictions hold true, Week 3 could feature two favorites covering, one outright upset, and a pair of games decided in the final minutes. One thing is certain: with playoff positioning already beginning to take shape, every possession on Sunday will matter.
