Pacas Dominates, Barrett Explodes, and the ETFL MVP Race Heats Up

ETFL Spring 2026 – Week 2 Recap

With the weather finally cooperating, offenses across the league exploded for points, several contenders strengthened their championship credentials, and a handful of players delivered performances worthy of early MVP consideration.

Team Glavic 35, Team Clarke 20

The final score suggests a comfortable victory for Team Glavic, but those who watched the game know it was far more competitive than the scoreboard indicates.

Team Clarke moved the ball effectively throughout the contest and repeatedly put themselves in scoring position. Unfortunately, three promising drives ended in the red zone due to costly drops, preventing what could have been a dramatic finish.

Team Glavic capitalized whenever opportunities presented themselves.

Dylan Hutcheson led the way with two touchdowns, a convert, and an interception in a complete two-way performance. Khari Francis added a touchdown and convert, while Emmanuel Beals found the end zone as well. Defensively, Marko Glavic recorded a sack while Hutcheson’s interception helped swing momentum.

For Team Clarke, Matthew Singh continued to establish himself as one of the league’s most dangerous weapons with two touchdowns, while Adrian McIntosh added another score.

Had a few passes been secured inside the red zone, this contest may have gone down to the wire. Instead, Team Glavic escaped with an impressive 35-20 victory.

Key Performers

Team Glavic

  • Dylan Hutcheson: 2 TD, 1 Convert, 1 INT
  • Khari Francis: 1 TD, 1 Convert
  • Emmanuel Beals: 1 TD
  • Marko Glavic: 1 Sack

  • Adrian McIntosh: 1 TD

Team Scoop 47, Team Toi 27

If there was an offensive clinic delivered in Week 2, Scoop’s Dogg’s authored it.

From the opening drive, Team Scoop consistently attacked underneath coverage, forcing Team Toi’s defense to creep forward before striking deep when opportunities emerged. The result was a relentless offensive attack that produced 47 points.

Matthew Vieira, Domenic Gnurlantino, and Tristan Smith each recorded two touchdowns, while James Green added a touchdown and two converts. Defensively, Eric Robinson’s interception and Patrick McCaskie’s sack helped complete a dominant performance.

For Team Toi, the offensive flashes continued. Aaron Karamath, Presh Singarajah, Kayrus Sam, and Jordon Campbell all reached the end zone, showing the potential this offense possesses.

The challenge moving forward remains consistency. While scoring 27 points is encouraging, sustained drives and improved defensive execution will be necessary if Team Toi hopes to keep pace with the league’s elite.

Team Heaney 27, Team Jeff 13

The newest roster in the ETFL continues to search for chemistry, while Team Heaney’s experience proved invaluable once again.

Although Week 1 took place in near-monsoon conditions, Team Heaney benefited from already having established familiarity and continuity. That advantage showed throughout the game.

Quarterback Andrew Heaney demonstrated the poise and football IQ that makes him a respected ETFL veteran, using his mobility and decision-making to keep drives alive and control the pace of play.

Nathan Fischer powered the offense with two touchdowns, while Joe MacDonald contributed on both sides of the ball with a touchdown and interception.

Meanwhile, Team Jeff showed flashes of becoming one of the league’s most explosive offenses. Quarterback Jeff Paras displayed impressive arm strength and repeatedly challenged defenses deep downfield.

The next step will be developing a more consistent short and intermediate passing game. If Team Jeff can sustain drives rather than relying primarily on big plays, they could quickly become one of the league’s most dangerous teams.

Key Performers

Team Heaney

  • Nathan Fischer: 2 TD
  • Joe MacDonald: 1 TD, 1 INT
  • Bohdan Gluch: 1 TD, 1 Two-Point Convert
  • Wesley Maynard: 1 Sack

Team Jeff

  • Daeshaun Jupiter-Deane: 1 TD
  • Quentin Chevalier: 1 TD
  • Alex Fedosen: 1 INT

Team Pacas 41, Team Heaney 28

No team generated more buzz in Week 2 than Team Pacas.

The game began with fireworks as Anthony Barrett returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown before following it up with another score on Team Pacas’ very next offensive possession.

Just moments into the contest, Team Heaney found themselves in a significant hole.

While Team Heaney voiced frustration over a pair of missed no-tag calls on the early scoring plays, they responded admirably and fought back with 28 points of their own.

Unfortunately, Team Pacas simply never slowed down.

Barrett finished with an astonishing four touchdowns and a convert, while Chris Fealy and Ryan Dale each added scores of their own. Team Pacas’ track-team-like speed repeatedly exposed defensive gaps and created explosive plays.

Team Heaney received strong performances from Thushanth Seevaratnam, who scored twice, and Bohdan Gluch, but could never fully erase the early deficit.

Key Performers

Team Pacas

  • Anthony Barrett: 4 TD, 1 Convert
  • Chris Fealy: 1 TD, 1 Convert
  • Ryan Dale: 1 TD, 1 Convert
  • Rob Pacas: 1 Sack

Team Heaney

  • Thushanth Seevaratnam: 2 TD, 1 Convert
  • Travis Hill: 1 TD
  • Bohdan Gluch: 1 TD

Team Pacas 36, Team Jeff 21

For the second consecutive game, Team Pacas looked every bit like a championship contender.

While the final score appears competitive, Team Jeff never truly seemed within striking distance. To their credit, they looked significantly improved from their first game performance and showed clear signs of growth.

Once again, however, the inability to consistently attack intermediate routes limited their offensive ceiling.

Team Pacas, meanwhile, simply kept rolling.

After Anthony Barrett stole the headlines earlier in the day, it was Grae Hayes who took center stage in the nightcap. Hayes carved up Team Jeff’s defense for three touchdowns and a two-point conversion, repeatedly turning routine plays into explosive gains.

Combined with contributions from Chris Fealy and Ryan Dale, Team Pacas completed a perfect Week 2 and strengthened their claim as an early championship favorite.

Key Performers

Team Pacas

  • Grae Hayes: 3 TD, 1 Two-Point Convert
  • Chris Fealy: 1 TD, 1 Two-Point Convert
  • Ryan Dale: 1 TD

Team Jeff

  • David Smith: 1 TD
  • Kearaun Francis: 1 TD
  • Quentin Chevalier: 1 TD

Week 2 Takeaways

2. Team Scoop’s Offense Is Clicking

Forty-seven points is difficult to ignore. Team Scoop’s ability to mix short routes with deep strikes kept defenses guessing all day.

3. Team Clarke Is Better Than Its Record Suggests

The drops hurt, but Team Clarke consistently moved the ball against a quality opponent. Clean up a few mistakes and they’re capable of beating anyone.

4. Team Jeff Is Improving

Despite sitting near the bottom of the standings, there are encouraging signs. The talent is obvious. The challenge now is developing chemistry and finding offensive rhythm.
